Lois had to drop off our beloved 16 years old cat "mow" to the vet for her first professional teeth and mouth cleaning session today. We had to wait for the most of the day before she can be released in the late afternoon. When we got back from our meeting after lunch, Lois told me that she missed mow already and felt so weird that the house was so quiet. Mow usually would make some cute sounds to ask for food and her sweet face would just brighten your day. I missed her too.
Have you ever looked at someone and all the bad moods would just go away? You would feel like a sweetness in your heart? Yep, "mow" is that person in our lives. We are so happy to have her.
I think God wants us to know how looking into Jesus feel like by giving us "mow". We often think of Jesus' sacrificial love for us, His mighty power over evil. But forget His gentleness. He isn't someone who would seat on the throne and looked down on us. He is with us, He feels our laughter and our pain. He cares, and His gentleness can comfort all our tears and fears.
I thank God for allowing me to call Jesus, my friend and my Lord. And "mow" is at her regular place now, sleeping safe and sound like a baby.
